Canadian Experts Visit Odesa Region
A team of Canadian professionals visited one of the units in the Odesa region, including Duane Braith, a specialist in chemical and radiological protection, and Vitaliy Milentiev, a strategic advisor from Firefighter Aid Ukraine.
The visitors learned about the operations of our unit, which focuses on responding to emergencies related to chemical contamination. They toured the chemical and radiometric laboratory, examined modern equipment, protective suits, devices for detecting hazardous substances, and respiratory protection systems used daily by our Odesa chemists.
The meeting concluded in a friendly atmosphere with discussions about the challenges faced by rescue chemists in Canada and Ukraine, sharing practical stories, and exchanging memorable gifts from our foreign colleagues.
