Deputy Minister's Visit to Odesa: New Opportunities for Veterans
Today, June 3rd, Ruslan Prykhodko, the Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, arrived in Odesa for a working visit.
The purpose of his visit was to inspect the city's inclusive sites and prepare for the upcoming wellness season.
During the visit, ministry representatives were presented with the work of the Barrier-Free Council in Odesa. Notably, the focus was on creating an inclusive route called 'North-South' as part of the National Project 'Movement Without Barriers', which is being implemented in 15 cities across Ukraine under the patronage of First Lady Olena Zelenska.
The Deputy Minister highly praised the efforts made to create a barrier-free environment in Odesa, which is being developed collaboratively with veterans and people with disabilities. This includes the establishment of facilities for health improvement and sports activities, particularly the new inclusive sports ground at 'Dolphin', featuring equipment adapted for individuals with disabilities.
Additionally, Ruslan Prykhodko met with Odesa's adaptive rowers, athletes who participate in various international competitions.
Moreover, the Deputy Minister expressed a desire to meet with Odesa's veterans during upcoming meetings of the Barrier-Free Council.
