The "Alley of Immaculate Cities": A Tribute in Odssa
The "Alley of Immaculate Cities" has been established at the Stock Exchange Square in Odesa. This exhibition serves as a tribute to the memory of war victims and as a gesture of support for all cities that resisted danger.
Fifteen columns symbolize the Ukrainian cities that were among the first to experience a large-scale enemy attack.
On the pedestals are fragments of missiles found during reconstruction, and plaques with notches represent the number of enemy missile strikes on specific cities.
If you lean in and look into the reflective plaque, you can see your face mirrored with symbolic scars from missiles.
These scars are in the heart of every Ukrainian.
The exhibition was created by the public organization «Dobrobat – Volunteer Construction Battalion» with the support of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and Naftogaz of Ukraine.
«Dobrobat» is a volunteer movement that brings together volunteers and rapidly rebuilds and restores buildings and infrastructure destroyed by Russian occupiers.
The author of the exhibition is sculptor Yan-Pavlo Roman.
