Open Wushu Training at Inclusive Beach in Odessa
This past weekend, an open wushu training session was held at beach number 11 in Odessa. The event took place outdoors, barefoot on the sand, perfectly suited for the summer vibe.
Veterans participated, eagerly trying out this new sport. The training showcased various styles of wushu: both contact and non-contact, dynamic and health-focused. Everyone had the chance to practice techniques, feel the rhythm, and find their inner balance.
The event exemplified how an inclusive space can be vibrant and welcoming to people with diverse experiences.
The master class was conducted by:
Contact Wushu (self-defense):
- Volodymyr Shevchenko — master of sports in Ukraine, European champion, multiple-time champion of Ukraine;
- Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Berezhnyi — honored coach of Ukraine;
- Serhiy Fedorovych Muntyanu — war veteran, wushu coach.
Non-contact Wushu (health direction):
- Valeriya Blahodyr — master of sports in Ukraine, trainer for health programs.
