New water well in Odesa: quality water for residents
A modern water station with an artesian well has been completed at 60v Heroes of Defense of Odesa Street in the Peresyp district.
This will be the second source of quality drinking water in a densely populated area. Plans are in place to build two more water stations on Academician Sakharov Street and near Vladislav Buvalkin Street.
The new complex includes a technical building, staff facilities, a pumping station, ventilation and air conditioning systems, a fire alarm system, and a diesel generator to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages.
“This is not just a technical facility — it is a guarantee of safety and care for people. We realized how essential it is to have backup water sources during disruptions caused by enemy attacks. Now we have another modern, reliable water station that meets all requirements,” emphasized Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.
The complex is equipped with an artesian well over 115 meters deep, with a water output of 3–4 cubic meters per hour. The water undergoes a complete purification cycle: aeration, mechanical filtration, reverse osmosis, ozonation, and sorption treatment through carbon filters.
This process ensures that the water meets hygienic standards for drinking consumption, as confirmed by laboratory analyses from the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Currently, there are 17 water stations in various districts of Odesa.
