Defender's Day was established in 2014 to honor the bravery and heroism of those defending our independence. The day is linked to the feast of the Protection of the Holy Mother of God, revered by the Cossacks. Modern defenders uphold these traditions, strengthening the patriotic spirit of the nation. War shapes the Ukrainian identity. Today's defenders have earned the respect and trust of the people, and the Ukrainian army has become one of the strongest in the world, serving as a shield for Europe. It is our duty to support our army and bring victory closer.
