Creating Inclusive Spaces for Veterans in Odesa
Members of the Accessibility Council under the Mayor of Odesa visited locations where inclusive spaces are set to be established for veterans and individuals with disabilities.
Among the sites is the beach at the 11th station of the Great Fountain, which is planned to be transformed into an inclusive beach, as well as the area near the «Dolphin» beach, where an inclusive outdoor sports complex will be created.
The expert group included not only officials but also veterans, community representatives, and individuals with disabilities.
During the visit, all essential aspects were meticulously documented, including the need for tactile paving, ramps, additional handrails, and specialized swimming equipment.
The findings from the field visit will be processed by the relevant authorities shortly.
