Fatal Accident in Odesa: Tragic Details
On the evening of February 11, a tragic traffic accident occurred in Odesa on Ivana Funtovogo Street. A 29-year-old driver of a «Toyota» lost control and crashed into a utility pole, resulting in the death of a 31-year-old passenger, while the driver was hospitalized with injuries.
According to Dmytro Slyuta, head of the transport crime investigation department, it has been preliminarily established that the driver did not manage to handle the vehicle. Unfortunately, the passenger succumbed to his injuries, while the driver was taken to the hospital. Tests confirmed that he was sober.
Investigators have registered the case in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A series of forensic examinations are being conducted to establish all circumstances of the event. The investigation is ongoing.
