Tragic Fire in Odessa Claims Elderly Woman's Life
On the evening of Saturday, April 12, 2025, a tragic event unfolded in Odessa as firefighters battled a blaze in the Peresyp district. The fire resulted in the death of an elderly woman.
According to the regional emergency service, the fire ignited on the doors and flooring of an apartment on Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue.
At the scene, the body of the apartment owner, born in 1940, was discovered.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damages are currently being investigated.
As reported by the emergency service, there were 19 fires recorded in the Odessa region over the past 24 hours, including five in Odessa and 14 in surrounding areas.
