Arrest of a Young Drug Dealer in Odessa Region
Law enforcement has arrested a young drug dealer in the Khadyzheibei district.
Officers from the special police battalion discovered a 23-year-old man engaged in drug distribution. During the search, they found a packet containing a dangerous psychotropic substance, confirmed by an express test. Police also seized eight more packages with similar contents hidden in various locations. All samples have been sent for examination.
The investigation revealed that the suspect received the drugs from an unidentified person he met online, subsequently distributing them through hidden locations.
“Based on the gathered evidence, we have charged him under part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for the illegal acquisition and storage of psychotropic substances with the intent to sell. This crime is punishable by up to 10 years in prison,” said Sergey Zholonko, an investigator.
The court has imposed a house arrest as a preventive measure. The source of the prohibited substances is being investigated.
The investigation continues under the supervision of the local prosecutor's office.
