Poacher Caught Causing Significant Environmental Damage
Law enforcement officials have caught a poacher who illegally harvested 180 kg of fish, causing over 600,000 hryvnias in damages.
During a raid on Lake Tudoriv, inspectors from the Odesa Fisheries Patrol, along with border guards and police, discovered a man who had illegally caught 348 bream, 23 crucians, and one carp using two nets from a boat.
"A protocol has been drawn up against the violator for gross violations of fishing regulations, and materials are being prepared for initiating criminal proceedings. The illegal catch, fishing gear, boat, and engine have been confiscated" - the report stated.
