Easter Traditions and Arts in Ukraine
On April 10, 2025, an online seminar titled «Rise Again, Pysanka!» was held for teachers and students of educational institutions in Odessa.
This event was part of the All-Ukrainian practical seminar «The Living Song of Ukraine», focusing on symbolism and semantics in Ukrainian culture.
The seminar aimed to introduce participants to Easter traditions and teach various skills in decorative and applied arts.
Attendees had the opportunity to listen to presentations by folk craftsmen about traditional Ukrainian art forms and to participate in workshops on egg painting, Petrykivka painting, crochet, straw weaving, and embroidery.
As a result of the seminar, participants received certificates.
The organizers were the Department of Education and Science of the Odessa City Council in collaboration with the interregional public organization «Black Sea District «Zaporizhzhya Cossacks».
