Attack on Police Officers with Knives: Incident Overview
A man armed with two knives assaulted police officers who were maintaining public order, inflicting injuries.
In response to the attack and to apprehend the assailant, one of the officers used his service firearm against the attacker. The assailant was hospitalized with injuries.
Additionally, several police officers were also hospitalized due to knife injuries.
A forensic team is currently on site. Information regarding the incident has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempt on the life of a law enforcement officer).
