Public Consultations on Renaming Odessa Landmarks
In accordance with recent initiatives, the city of Odessa is organizing a public discussion regarding potential changes to the names of landmarks. This decision was made during the meetings of the Historical and Toponymic Commission held on February 13 and April 17, 2025.
The discussion will take place electronically from 10:00 AM on May 1 to 10:00 AM on July 1, 2025, on the Odessa City Council platform «Socially Active Citizen»: citizen.omr.gov.ua. The special service «Public Discussion» will allow participants to follow the process in real-time.
All residents of Odessa who are 18 years or older and registered in the city are eligible to participate in the discussion.
The «Public Discussion» service is accessible to everyone and allows the creation of a personal account for participation in discussions.
To register for the online account, users must authenticate through ID.GOV.UA using a qualified electronic signature and provide additional information such as:
- date of birth;
- residential address;
- contact details (email, mobile phone).
The discussions will be conducted for each landmark separately, where users can select «Yes» or «No» in a special form, with the option to leave a comment.
