Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has declared his intention to resign.
This announcement was made public on the official Telegram channel of the Prime Minister.
Direct quote: "I want to thank our defenders who are holding the front and protecting Ukraine! I appreciate President Volodymyr Zelensky for his trust! Thanks to the entire team for their tireless efforts for our nation!".
It is important to note that the resignation of the Prime Minister automatically entails the resignation of the entire government. Article 10 of the law on martial law states that the powers of the Cabinet of Ministers cannot be terminated during martial law.
Background: President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers Yulia Svyrydenko and Mykhailo Fedorov, where tasks for the Cabinet of Ministers for the upcoming six months were defined.
