New Measures for Pedestrian Safety on Streets
The specialists of the K.U. «SMEP» are engaged in the installation of traffic delineators and metal posts along pedestrian zones.
Such measures contribute to:
- peds safety – preventing vehicles from entering sidewalks and green areas;
- organized parking – preventing chaotic parking, especially in narrow streets;
- traffic flow separation – delineators help maintain lanes and reduce the risk of accidents.
According to point 11.13 of the Traffic Rules, vehicles are prohibited from driving on sidewalks and pedestrian paths. Additionally, as per point 15.10 of the Traffic Rules, parking on sidewalks is also prohibited.
Sidewalks — are spaces designated for pedestrians, elderly individuals, and those with mobility impairments. It is crucial to ensure the safety and comfort of pedestrians, especially near healthcare facilities and areas with high pedestrian activity.
