Revitalizing Bus Stops: Challenges and Solutions

In the city of Odessa, employees of the municipal enterprise «City Roads» are actively engaged in repairing bus stop complexes. Unfortunately, vandals frequently leave graffiti, break benches, destroy trash bins, and smash glass walls of the stops. These damages can also result from traffic accidents and hostile actions.

Since the beginning of 2025, 31 instances of glass breakage have been recorded at public transport stops, with 7 more stops damaged due to hostile attacks. Employees also clean up graffiti and notices left on the walls of the stops.

The municipal enterprise «City Roads» is responsible for 1,012 public transport stops.

As part of their maintenance duties, specialists regularly conduct sanitation cleaning of the adjacent areas, repair and restore bins, benches, and shelters, as well as wash and paint them.

The Odessa city council once again appeals to residents and visitors to treat community property with care. Intentional destruction of municipal property is punishable by law.
