Urban Greening Initiatives in Odesa for 2026
As the new year 2026 began, the municipal team from the «Miskzelentrest» continued their efforts in planting trees throughout the city.
Since the start of the year, 129 new trees have been planted in Odesa. On Novosel's'koho Street, they planted: 69 maples, 3 acacias, and 1 catalpa. At the Memorial of the 411th Battery, they added 10 maples and 14 ashes. Chemical Street now features 8 maples, while the green zone near the Bus Station received 24 new maples.
Last year, «Miskzelentrest» planted a total of 2376 young trees in Odesa, including ashes, elms, sophoras, maples, linden, and others. All trees are large-caliper and are planted with a closed root system to ensure better adaptation in the urban environment.
