Recovery Progress in Odesa After Attack
The Mayor of Odesa held a press conference to report on the progress of recovery work in a building partially destroyed by a Russian strike on March 2.
«Everyone who has applied for the recovery program has received financial assistance for repairs or a certificate for new housing. The work is not progressing as quickly as we would like due to the lengthy construction procedures. I am grateful to our partners - charitable organizations and volunteers,» said Hennadiy Trukhanov.
The Mayor also thanked the charity organizations "Reach for the Sky", "Morning of Revival", "April Tenth", and UNHCR for their ongoing support and provision of building materials.
The work is being carried out by the company "Clever" under the guidance of the Odesa City Mayor's humanitarian advisor Veronika Etnarovych.
So far, a large amount of debris has been removed from the apartments. The roof over the far entrance and the entrance itself from the first to the ninth floor have been repaired.
Additionally, landscaping has been completed around the site of the strike, where people continue to bring flowers. On March 2, 2024, as a result of the attack, 12 people lost their lives, including five children.
