Open Climbing Championship in Odesa: Results and Winners
On January 25, 2025, the Open Climbing Championship took place in Odesa, featuring bouldering stages and a school cup.
Seventy-two athletes participated: 40 boys and 32 girls.
The competitors were from various institutions, including the Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve, the «Dynamo» Sports School, the Climbing Club «Odesa», and the private school «Step».
In the 2010-2011 age group (group «B»), the first place was won by Yuliya Karaban (KDYUSSH "Dynamo") and Timur Hladkykh (DUSSHOR Climbing), second place went to Varvara Nimenko and Artem Mykhailov (DUSSHOR), and third to Kostyantyn Ivanov (KDYUSSH «Dynamo»).
Among athletes born in 2012-2013, the winners were Vira Hutsol and Hryhoriy Chaplya, with Melania Bodnar and Hai Sukhanov in second, and Veronika Chernienko and Mark Barzikov in third.
In the 2014-2015 age group, gold medals were awarded to Maria Kateryva and Yegor Fal'ko, silver to Kateryna Yatsenko and Yaromyr Shvydkyi, and bronze to Serafim Koroiev and Oleksandr Nedoluzhenko.
For the 2016-2017 age group, Ksenia Tsyrulnykova and Mykhailo Baranov celebrated victory, with Daria Rembovska and David Dolhykh in second, and Anna Anfinohenova and Matviy Lypovskyi in third. All athletes trained at the CSDYUSSHOR for climbing.
The youngest participants born in 2018-2019 competed for the open cup of CSDYUSSHOR. The winners were Theona Pashaeva and Dmytro Shymkov, with Sofia Nazarova and Mykyta Shvydkyi taking silver, and Maya Shcherbina and Yan Krasnoslobodtsev winning bronze.
The athletes who achieved podium placements were coached by: Svitlana Svitlychna, Viktor Remnev, Oleksandra Starytska, Liubov Zymova, Tetiana Pashaieva, Nataliia Kopotiienko, Oleksandr Shaparets, Oleksii Krynetskyi, Oleksandr Pavlenko, and Vira Prokopieva.
