Celebration of the 2025 Ukrainian Boxing Championship in Odesa
The Ukrainian Boxing Championship for men and women (elite) in 2025 concluded triumphantly in Odesa!
From March 9 to 16, the ‘Olympiets’ sports complex became the hub of Ukrainian boxing. 204 top athletes from the country — 135 men and 69 women — competed for victory, showcasing their determination and skill.
Among the winners were representatives from Odesa region:
- Nikita Pohizhy (63.5 kg) Coaches — Serzheniuk Mykhailo and Pobrezhiets Yevhenii
- Havryliuk Vladyslav (51 kg) Coaches — Bylyk Yevhenii and Kharlamov Valerii
- Tahiiev Isa (54 kg) Coaches — Osipchuk Volodymyr and Hordiienko Ihor
The total prize fund for the championship was 1,000,000 UAH!
Each champion in 12 women's and 13 men's weight categories received 40,000 UAH. All finalists were awarded medals, diplomas, and official calendars, while champions received trophies. Coaches were also recognized for their invaluable contributions.
During the ceremonial part of the finals, Alexander Kharlov, the First Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, congratulated the athletes and coaches. He emphasized the high level of organization and wished fair and exciting matches.
The 2025 Ukrainian Championship has once again proven that Ukrainian boxing embodies strength, character, and the desire for victory! Odesa takes pride in its athletes and continues to support them on their path to new heights!
