Ukrainian Hockey Players Shine at World Championship
From April 20 to 26, Hungary hosted the world ice hockey championship.
Among the participants was Ilya Bobrov, a goalie from the Odessa sports school «Dzhynestra», representing the Ukrainian U18 national team.
The Ukrainian squad delivered an impressive performance, claiming the second position in the tournament.
In Division 1A, 7 teams competed, and the results for the Ukrainian team were as follows:
Hungary – Ukraine 1:7;
Ukraine – Denmark 1:5;
Ukraine – Australia 6:3;
Ukraine – Slovenia 7:1;
Kazakhstan – Ukraine 2:3.
The athlete was coached by Ruslan Korop from the «Dzhynestra» sports school.
The hockey department at KZSPU «Dzhynestra» has 69 athletes enrolled.
