Outstanding Achievements of Ukrainian Paddlers at the Cup
From April 23 to 27, 2025, the Ukrainian Cup in kayaking and canoeing took place in Uman. Approximately 400 athletes from 20 regions of Ukraine participated in the event.
Representing Odessa was Albina Yakobchuk, a student from the Odessa Regional School of Higher Sports Mastery "Olympian". Previously, she trained at the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 6 in Odessa.
As a result of the competition, Albina achieved the following award placements:
event C-4 500 m – 1st place,
event C-1 1000 m – 2nd place.
Her coaches Illya Fedorenko, Oleg Zhilkin, and Mykola Kravchuk prepared her for this success.
In total, the kayaking and canoeing department of the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 6 has 115 athletes.
