Odessa's Collaboration with French Architects

The mayor of Odessa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with a French delegation led by the president of the Architecture et Maîtres d'Ouvrage (AMO) Association and the head of the Paris architectural firm Martin Duplantier Architectes, Mr. Martin Duplantier.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed projects that the architectural firm and the Association could assist with. These include facilities in the medical and educational sectors, as well as cultural heritage preservation.

"France has always been a close friend of Odessa; we support and help Ukraine during the war and are interested in further partnership and investment in Odessa. Today, we are looking at restoration projects," said Mr. Duplantier.

Hennadiy Trukhanov expressed gratitude for the attention to the city, noting that caring for children and creating conditions for their development is a top priority.

"Unfortunately, the number of children needing special attention is increasing. Therefore, we need to establish an institution where children with disabilities and special educational needs can receive medical and rehabilitative assistance as well as education. Our team of specialists from the city's educational and medical sectors has developed relevant proposals highlighted in the 'Swallow' project," said the mayor.

Mr. Duplantier expressed confidence that, in collaboration with the Government of France and various European Union institutions, grant programs would be found to implement this important project.
