Transformative Energy Agreement for Ukraine
Naftogaz and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have reached a landmark agreement amounting to 500 million euros for gas procurement in Ukraine.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko via Telegram.
"Naftogaz and the EBRD have signed a record-breaking agreement for Ukraine, totaling 500 million euros for gas purchases. This is the largest project of the bank in our country," she stated.
Svyrydenko added that for the first time, this credit is provided under the guarantee of the EU, without any state guarantee from Ukraine.
"This will enable Ukraine to better prepare for the heating season and ensure homes are warm and lit even during the toughest winter days. I thank the EBRD and the EU for their support, and the government and Naftogaz team for their professional work," the Prime Minister noted.
