Increase in Gambling Revenue in Ukraine
In the first quarter of 2025, the gambling industry in Ukraine contributed 5.4 billion UAH in taxes to the state budget, marking a 20.4% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
This was reported by Danilo Getmantsev, head of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Taxation and Customs Policy.
"This is 143 times more than the figures from January to March 2021 (37.7 million UAH)", the deputy noted.
According to his data, in January 2025, the budget received 735 million UAH, in February – 1.52 billion UAH, and in March – 3.13 billion UAH.
He also indicated that the revenue from cash registers (RRO/PPO) in the first two months of 2025 reached 8.5 billion UAH, surpassing the January-February 2024 level by 18.5 times (0.5 billion UAH).
"The introduction of mandatory use of RRO/PPO by the gambling sector at the end of last year has contributed to the legalization of the industry", Getmantsev remarked.
Reminder:
The Cabinet of Ministers has established a state agency called "PlayCity", which will implement the state policy in the field of organizing and conducting gambling and lottery activities.
