Exploring Italian Culture Through Art in Odesa
As part of the Italian Culture Days, a remarkable exhibition is being held in the Odesa City Council, showcasing the artistic talents of students and faculty from the Graphic Arts Department of the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky, titled 'Italy Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Artists'.
The exhibition features 25 pieces created in diverse techniques including oil painting, watercolor, and graphics, representing a vibrant artistic dialogue between Ukraine and Italy.
Attendees shared their personal experiences of discovering Italy, which inspired their artistic journeys. Odesa's Ambassador to the Italian Republic, Attilio Malliani, welcomed the participants, expressing gratitude to students and educators for their enthusiasm for Italian culture and commending the organization of the exhibition.
'On June 2, Italians celebrate Republic Day. This anniversary marks the Italian Culture Week in Odesa, culminating in a festival on Saturday. Our temperaments are similar, and I am confident that everyone will find inspiration there,' noted Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.
The events for the Italian Culture Week have been organized with the support of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and Marketing.
