Celebration of Bulgarian Culture in Odessa
On October 26, 2024, a celebration of Bulgarian culture titled "From Bulgaria to Odessa" took place, honoring the Day of Bessarabian Bulgarians in Ukraine.
The concert featured various ensembles from the Odessa region, including:
- the folk dance ensemble «Bessarabia» from Bolgrad (director - Petar Dimitrov);
- the Bulgarian dance ensemble «Kulevchantsi» from Kulevcha village (director - Anastasia Kimurzhy);
- the folk dance group «Kamchik» from Kamchik village (director - Svitlana Sulakova).
Bulgarian singer Desi Dobreva also performed, and attendees danced the traditional Bulgarian "horo" to her songs.
This concert was part of the multicultural weeks in Odessa, organized by the Odesa Municipal Theater named after O. Salik.
