Competition for Promoting the Ukrainian Language in Odesa
To enhance the use of the Ukrainian language within the Odesa community, a social advertising competition titled ‘Promotion of the Ukrainian Language’ will be held from October 29 to November 29, 2024.
The primary goal of this initiative is to foster respect and appreciation for the Ukrainian language, highlighting its beauty and encouraging young people to study it, while also building a sense of national pride.
The competition will be conducted in two phases:
Phase one - submission of entries;
Phase two - evaluation of submissions by a jury and selection of winners.
To participate, individuals must send an application to the Odesa City Council’s Department of Internal Policy at dep_vp@omr.gov.ua, labeled ‘Social Advertising Competition’.
Requirements for submissions:
1. Technical requirements:
- Posters can be designed graphically or hand-drawn.
2. Submissions must be original and unpublished.
3. Participants are required to comply with the following conditions:
- Content must not violate Ukrainian law;
- Text should be brief and original;
- Emotional elements (color, font, artwork, etc.) must be included;
- Works must adhere to the competition theme;
4. Submissions must not contain:
- Author names, contact information, commercial symbols, or political slogans;
- Images depicting violence, discrimination, or any information that undermines dignity;
5. Works must be in Ukrainian.
6. No submissions should violate laws or moral principles.
7. By submitting works, participants agree to the processing of their personal data in accordance with Ukrainian law.
8. Participants affirm their authorship and bear responsibility for any infringement of third-party rights.
9. Entries that are:
- Non-compliant with requirements;
- Plagiarized;
