Creativity and Unity: Ukrainian Students in Bavaria

From August 17 to 23, 2025, a group of 20 students aged 8 to 16 from Odessa Gymnasium No. 26, along with five accompanying adults, visited Bavaria (Federal Republic of Germany).

The purpose of the trip was to participate in the international German-Polish-Ukrainian Talent Academy camp - 2025.

During ten days, the children thrived in an atmosphere of creativity, partnership, and trust. They worked in mixed international teams, overcoming language barriers, making new friends, and learning to collaborate.

Theater, music, dance, painting, quests, and games became spaces where talents were revealed, mutual respect was formed, and new ideas were born.

Cultural evenings held a special place, showcasing the richness of traditions from the three countries. The Ukrainian evening was a hymn and a flag that united hearts around love for the homeland. The Polish evening offered hospitality, dance, and bread with honey as a symbol of unity. The German evening introduced new forms of teamwork and learning through interactive games.

A true challenge and revelation was the ascent into the Alps, where a quest with the keyword “Talent Academy” took place. The children searched for clues, answering questions in three languages - Ukrainian, Polish, and German. This served as a vivid example of integration, intercultural dialogue, and children’s diplomacy practice.

The trip to Lviv, Prague, and Ulm provided an opportunity to learn about the architectural landmarks, culture, and modern life of European cities. For many participants, it was a reminder that Ukraine organically belongs to the European space. An unforgettable impression was left by the excursion to the BMW showroom, where children touched the world of cutting-edge technology.

The project demonstrated that contemporary Ukrainian youth is ready to be part of the international community. The students of Odessa Gymnasium No. 26 not only showcased their talents but also became true ambassadors of Ukraine.

The experience gained in Bavaria will serve as a foundation for future initiatives aimed at talent development, integrating Ukrainian youth into the European educational space, and expanding international cooperation.

The event was supported by the public organization InKontakt and in partnership with the Polish school Publiczna Szkoła Podstawowa im. Bolesława Krzywoustego w Wolinie.
