Training Teachers in the "Defense of Ukraine" Subject
In January of this year, a seminar was held for educators who will teach the new course «Defense of Ukraine» as part of the new educational program. The event took place at the public organization «Stvol», where teachers gained practical shooting skills.
During the training, participants learned about various types of firearms from experienced instructors.
At the seminar, teachers enhanced their knowledge in safety, teaching methods for shooting, and working with combat equipment.
The event was organized by the Odesa City Center for Military-Patriotic Education with the support of the Department of Education and Science of Odesa City Council.
An open lesson on the subject «Defense of Ukraine» was conducted at Odesa Lyceum No. 1 named after A. P. Bystrynina by the honored teacher of Ukraine Oleg Denysov.

The new model educational program «Defense of Ukraine. Integrated Course» aims to foster patriotic consciousness and practical skills for saving lives. It offers all students equal opportunities to acquire essential skills.
Thanks to the updated program, high school students will be able to:
- learn about different types of drones and their applications;
- provide first aid in combat conditions;
- shoot with firearms;
- understand what information warfare is and how to resist hostile information and psychological operations.
