Celebratory Events for St. Nicholas Day and Armed Forces Day in Odesa

In educational institutions of communal ownership in Odesa, celebratory events for St. Nicholas Day and Armed Forces Day are traditionally held, including festive activities for children and the charity campaign #WarmWave.

As part of this initiative, representatives of the friendly educational community bake treats, fill first aid kits with medical supplies, gather necessary items and food products, donate funds, and weave camouflage nets for our defenders.

Children create protective charms, gifts, letters of support, and drawings, which they send to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who protect our borders and ensure our peace every day.

Educational establishments in the city host events dedicated to the heroic history of the Ukrainian people, the struggle of its defenders for statehood, and exhibitions of children's drawings and creative works titled “We Are Proud of the Defenders of Ukraine.”

Furthermore, the residence of St. Nicholas has opened, where every visitor can immerse themselves in a winter fairy tale and write a letter to the magical figure.

Representatives of the Parliament of high school students of Odesa, together with the children of fallen heroes, adorned patriotic Christmas trees on the Alley of Heroes with handmade ornaments.

With hope for victory and faith in a peaceful future, educators in Odesa are undertaking significant efforts aimed at national-patriotic education, popularizing the military heroism of Ukrainians, and honoring the bravery and heroism of the Defenders of Ukraine.
