UNESCO Conference in Berlin: New Educational Perspectives

This past week, Berlin (Germany) hosted a significant UNESCO conference focused on school management, Project Schools - 2024.

Representing Odessa were students and teachers from the Odesa Lyceum "Mariinsky".

As part of a Ukrainian-German initiative aimed at the recreation of children and teachers from the Ukrainian Network of Associated Schools of UNESCO, the Odesa students visited educational institutions in Berlin, exchanged experiences with peers from other countries, and learned about the intricacies of the German education system.

Additionally, conference participants had the chance to explore the history, culture, and architecture of the German city, including visits to the East Side Gallery — a world-renowned segment of the Berlin Wall turned street exhibition, the Brandenburg Gate — a symbol of unity and peace, Checkpoint Charlie — a site that evokes memories of a divided Berlin and the Cold War, and the New Museum, showcasing art from various eras.
