Revamping of Maternity Hospital in Odesa: New Horizons

The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, inspected the renovation progress of the city's Maternity Hospital No. 5.

The refurbishment is funded under the Recovery Program of Ukraine, involving contributions from the European Investment Bank and the municipal budget.

“80% of the repair costs are covered by the European Investment Bank, while 20% is allocated by the city. Upon completion, future mothers will give birth in comfortable conditions, and we hope this will positively influence birth rates,” noted Hennadiy Trukhanov.

The modernization of Maternity Hospital No. 5 will pave the way for the establishment of a city perinatal center, as outlined in the economic and social development strategy of Odesa.

This requires a substantial amount of work, including thermal modernization: facade insulation, repairs of operating blocks, electricity accounting nodes, and internal engineering and heating systems.
