New Electronic Medical Reports in Ukraine

Ukraine is gearing up to introduce new electronic medical reports that will take effect in 2026. These documents will be utilized for child adoption and obtaining driver's licenses.
Dmytro Chernysh, the head of the electronic health system development department of the National Health Service of Ukraine, announced this during the eHealth Day event within the Public Health exhibition.
«We are preparing to launch new electronic medical reports next year that will streamline the adoption process and driver’s license applications. These important documents need to be transitioned to a digital format to enhance transparency,» he stated.
According to Chernysh, work on these services is already underway. He also emphasized that implementing electronic medical reports requires several amendments to existing legislation, including relevant regulations and laws.
Additionally, this year marks the launch of the next phase of electronic services in the rehabilitation sector, specifically the electronic prescription of medical aids for patients.
«Previously, this data was processed on paper, but now it will be automatically sent to the Ministry of Social Policy, allowing patients to receive necessary aids more quickly,» Chernysh added.
Starting in 2026, Ukraine will initiate a program for preventive medical examinations for individuals aged 40 and above to detect dangerous diseases at early stages. Participants will be able to receive funding for examinations through the «Diiа» application.
