Donor Support in Odesa Amidst War
The team at the Primary Medical and Sanitary Care Center No. 16 in Odesa is showcasing their unity and initiative in noble causes during the war.
On December 17, the Center's staff, supported by the Department of Health of the Odesa City Council, conducted their thirteenth joint blood donation drive as part of the «Donor Odesa» project.
Initiated by the facility's director, Hanna Pavleha, a group of regular donors has emerged, actively participating in supporting our defenders and those in need of blood transfusions.
A total of 17 employees from CPMSD No. 16 participated in the blood donation. One donation can save up to three lives.
The daily demand for donor blood remains very high since the onset of the war. Thanks to the «Donor Odesa» project, over 14,000 donations have been made, saving thousands of lives of Ukrainian defenders and civilians.
The city’s Department of Information and Digital Solutions is consistently working on promoting blood donation and informing the public about current blood needs through the Telegram channel «Odesa.Official», the mobile app MISTO, and other city media resources.
