Innovative Social Taxi Project in Odesa
The «Social Taxi» project has been successfully operating in Odesa for a year, initiated by the Odesa City Council in collaboration with the NGO «Barrier-Free».
This service is designed for individuals with disabilities, providing safe and comfortable transport around the city to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other important facilities.
In its first year, «Social Taxi» has completed over 2,500 trips, assisting Odesa residents in overcoming not just distances but also barriers.
The project is implemented in partnership with the ambassador of the national «Movement Without Barriers» project, Valentina Khoruzha, as well as veteran organizations and athletes with disabilities.
To use the service, one must call 15-01 or fill out an application on the website of the NGO «Barrier-Free» or the official Odesa website.
The city continues to develop initiatives aimed at creating an accessible environment for all its residents.
