Odesa's Support for Ukrainian Defenders: Recent Developments
The Mayor of Odesa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with the commander of the 3rd mechanized battalion of the 28th separate mechanized brigade, Volodymyr Luzhetsky, and his comrades.
This brigade has already received more than 138 million hryvnias in assistance from Odesa. Currently, the soldiers are fighting for Ukraine on a challenging front in Donetsk. They have requested further support, which the city will address promptly.
This year, Odesa allocated 206 million 093 thousand hryvnias from its budget for support to the Defense Forces, including 10 million for the 28th brigade. Last year, Odesa transferred nearly 1.42 billion UAH to support the military.
The city continues to operate and assist Ukrainian defenders.
