Ukrainian Innovations at CEATEC-2024
The 25th anniversary exhibition of advanced technologies, CEATEC-2024, took place in Chiba, Japan.
This year, Ukrainian companies presented their technological developments for the second consecutive time at Asia's largest international exhibition. The Odesa City Council delegation showcased a unified stand featuring innovations in the IT sector. Tamila Afanasieva, the director of the "Odesa 5T Grant Office," presented developments from the IT Family Odesa cluster and the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Computer Science of the International Humanitarian University.
Additionally, the Odesa delegation participated in the 13th Asia Smart City Conference held in its sister city, Yokohama. The conference brought together global leaders in urban development, key figures, and innovators in the field of technological advancement. During their stay in Japan, the Odesa delegation held protocol meetings with the mayor of Yokohama, city council leadership and members, and met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan.
Moreover, working negotiations were conducted with representatives of the Yokohama municipality, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the UN Development Programme office. Priority infrastructure projects for Odesa were discussed alongside several Japanese technology companies, including Nippon Koei, JFE Engineering, and Sansei. Discussions also took place with members of the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO, focusing on the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage sites in both Odesa and Japan.
Representatives of Japanese society expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their fight for freedom and openness to cooperation with the Odesa community. Together, we are moving closer to Victory!
