Digital Education Transformation in Ukraine: New Horizons
In Odesa, at the Odesa Lyceum «European», a conference titled «Digital Education Transformation: Utilizing Artificial Intelligence» was held as part of the Open Educational Forum #EducationOdesa – 2023.
The primary goal of the event was to familiarize educators and the public with cutting-edge digital technologies that are actively integrated into the learning process, including the use of ChatGPT and other innovative tools.
More than 200 participants attended the conference, including representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation, scientific institutions, and companies involved in educational technologies, as well as educators and activists from international projects.
The conference was opened by Iryna Stolbova, Deputy Director of the Odesa City Council Department of Education and Science. She emphasized the importance of adhering to Ukrainian legislation when implementing digital technologies in educational institutions.
During the conference, panel discussions were held on the following topics:
- Digitalization of education during wartime and post-war periods;
- Formation of a digital educational environment;
- Use of digital tools in educational institutions;
- A safe modern educational environment;
- Application of ChatGPT in educational activities.
As a result of the conference, a resolution was adopted that emphasizes the necessity of forming a working group for the development of Ukraine's digital educational space. It was also recommended that developers of educational programs comply with national standards and international recommendations.
The conference was organized by the Odesa City Council Department of Education and Science, the State Scientific Institution "Institute for Modernization of Educational Content", and companies offering various digital systems and tools.
