Digital Veteran Certificate: New Opportunities for Ukrainians
One of the Government's main priorities is the digitalization of services for veterans. The long-awaited veteran certificate is now available in the Diia app, which is great news for Ukrainians.
More than 1 million Ukrainians can use the electronic certificate in various situations – from securing a mortgage to accessing social services. Now there is no need to carry a paper version of the document.
This document is available for:
• war veterans;
• combatants;
• disabled individuals due to war;
• participants of the Revolution of Dignity;
• family members of deceased veterans;
• families of fallen defenders of Ukraine.
How to obtain the electronic veteran certificate in Diia:
- download the Diia app and click on «Add Document»;
- select «Veteran Certificate» and agree to share data from other registries;
- click «Add» and wait for the document to appear. This will take a few minutes.
What to do if the document is not found?
This may indicate that your information was not included in the Unified State Register of War Veterans by the issuing authority. Call the Ministry of Veterans' hotline at 0 800 505 217 for assistance.
