Remembering Captain Vladislav Ilchuk
In the Bolhrad region, they paid tribute to Captain Vladislav Ilchuk, who died in combat on February 22, 2025. He was known to have defended Ukraine from the very beginning of the war.
Today, March 2, a farewell took place in the village of Tabaki for battalion commander Vladislav Ilchuk. Before the war, he lived in Bakhmut with his family. From the onset of the war, he stood up to defend his homeland, while his family had to relocate to Odesa due to the destruction of their hometown.
"After fierce battles in Bakhmut, the officer's family was forced to leave their city and move to the Bolhrad community. They started a new life, hoping for peace and the return of their hero. However, the enemy shattered these hopes, leaving the family without a husband, son, and father.
The body of the fallen defender was carried through a living corridor formed by community members to honor Vladislav. At the cemetery, where he was laid to rest beside other fallen soldiers, the widow received the state flag of Ukraine as a symbol of gratitude and remembrance," the Bolhrad community emphasized.
