Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Odessa School of Arts
On April 11th, the International Cultural Center «Union» hosted the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Odessa School of Arts No. 12!
Throughout these years, the school has become a true hub for creative development and inspiration. The opening of new departments and ensembles has been an integral part of its history. Among the new groups are the vocal ensemble Anima, a folk instruments orchestra, mixed vocal-instrumental groups, a guitar ensemble, the dance group Gloria, and the children’s theater «Dzherele», which has repeatedly been awarded the title of «Exemplary».
For half a century, teachers at the school have been introducing children and youth to the world of art, nurturing new talents and enriching the cultural life of our city. Students have repeatedly become scholarship holders of the Mayor of Odessa and laureates of international competitions, bringing fame to the school. Hundreds of graduates have successfully made their mark in the arts. The school’s instructors are true experts who pass on their knowledge and love for creativity to new generations.
In honor of the anniversary, a festive concert took place featuring both young talents and their teachers.
During the concert, a ceremonial award presentation was held for teachers who made significant contributions to the school’s development. The school was congratulated on its anniversary by friends, art schools, libraries, and Odessa Lyceum No. 5.
An exhibition of artworks reflecting the creative journey of students was also presented.
