Surge in Electric Vehicle Registrations in Ukraine
In the first quarter of 2025, Ukraine experienced a remarkable surge in electric vehicle registrations, with 12,800 new battery electric vehicles (BEVs) added to the national fleet.
According to Ukrautoprom, the regions with the highest registration numbers include:
- Lviv region – 1,961 units (94% used);
- Kyiv city – 1,632 units (68% used);
- Kyiv region – 1,120 units (76% used);
- Dnipropetrovsk region – 986 units (80% used);
- Odesa region – 761 units (76% used).
Among the new cars, the top-selling electric vehicle was the BYD Song Plus EV.
As for imported used cars, the most popular models were:
- TESLA Model Y – in Kyiv and the surrounding area.
- TESLA Model 3 – in Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
- NISSAN Leaf – in Odesa region.
It is worth noting that between January and March, Ukrainians purchased 12,000 imported used passenger cars aged up to 5 years.
