Wildfires in Odesa Region: A Growing Concern
In the Odesa region, natural ecosystems are currently under siege from wildfires.
A recent fire broke out in the Berezivka district, outside the village of Maslove.
The efforts of firefighters were hampered by gusty winds and the rapid spread of flames.
The fire was extinguished over an area of approximately 2.5 hectares!
Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
Three units of equipment and 14 firefighters from the State Emergency Service were involved in the response.
