New Freight Transport Management System at Odesa Port

The implementation of the innovative freight transport management system, DocPort, has commenced at Odesa port with the involvement of experts from the State Enterprise "AMPU". This system allows drivers to pre-arrange access passes that can be conveniently received directly through a messenger application. Any device with internet access is sufficient for this purpose.

The primary goal of DocPort is to reduce queues at the port entrance, minimize truck delays, stabilize vehicle flow, and enhance cargo handling efficiency. The system enables the storage of data regarding cargo and fleet, prepares entry documents, controls queues, and quickly responds to emergency situations, such as vehicle breakdowns. Additionally, the use of DocPort minimizes paper documentation and simplifies bureaucratic procedures during inspections.

"Today, as ports operate under the conditions of war and heightened responsibility, we must ensure speed and maximum control over all logistics processes. DocPort allows us to minimize risks and improve service quality for all market participants. We are systematically scaling this solution in key maritime ports of Ukraine: after Reni, Izmail, and Chornomorsk, Odesa is a logical next step — one of the most important logistics centers in the country. We believe that digital solutions should become the standard in the operation of the entire port system," stated Oleksandr Semyrha, head of the State Enterprise "AMPU".

DocPort operates through a "controlled entry" mechanism: drivers wait in designated areas where they can activate their access passes. This ensures that only vehicles ready to enter the port gain access. All information is stored in a unified database, meaning that both the driver and vehicle need to be registered only once, and this data will be accessible in all ports connected to the system.

The system has been fully developed by specialists from the State Enterprise "AMPU"; it is free for all market participants and open for connection by other companies involved in cargo handling.

"We are building an infrastructure that meets real challenges – military, economic, and logistical. The creation of digital tools like DocPort is an investment in the future competitiveness of Ukrainian ports, logistics efficiency, and process transparency," emphasized Oleksandr Semyrha.
