Enhancing Accessibility in Odesa
The city of Odesa has approved a new action plan for establishing an accessible environment for the years 2025-2026. The implementation of these measures is overseen by the Barrier-Free Council under the Mayor of Odesa.
Experts from the municipal enterprise "City Roads" are working on installing ramps at pedestrian crossings throughout Odesa.
Since the beginning of 2025, a total of 71 ramps have been installed (Primorsky district - 51, Khadzhibeysky district - 9, Kyivsky district - 4, Peresyp district - 7).
As part of the accessibility program, 29 ramps have been constructed since May 1, 2025 (Primorsky district - 22, Khadzhibeysky district - 3, Kyivsky district - 2, Peresyp district - 2).
Additionally, tactile paving has been installed on 16 ramps (Primorsky district - 11, Khadzhibeysky district - 3, Kyivsky district - 2).
The work is ongoing.
