Spring Bloom in Odesa: New Floral Installations and Traditions
The first daisies and violets are starting to bloom at Birzha Square and April Tenth Square.
April Tenth Square is traditionally adorned with the Coat of Arms of Ukraine and marine wave patterns.
This year, by April 10 – the Day of Odesa's liberation from fascist invaders – plans are in place to plant 657 square meters of flower beds.
In total, in spring 2025, over 1550 square meters of flower beds featuring violets, daisies, selene, and other flowers will be planted in Odesa. Later, these will be replaced by summer flowers: salvias, petunias, primroses, tagetes, and ageratum.

All flower seedlings (for both spring and summer) and plants for vertical gardening are prepped by specialists from the municipal enterprise “Miskzelentrest” in the greenhouses of “Troyanda.” The greenhouses operate year-round. Starting in September, preparations for the next year's planting begin.
