Yaroslava Mahuchikh Shines Again in Paris
Yaroslava Mahuchikh has once again made headlines at the Diamond League, claiming a silver medal.
In Paris, two Ukrainian athletes participated – Yuliya Levchenko and Yaroslava Mahuchikh.
Among the main rivals were the Australians Nicola Olyslaegers and Eleanor Patterson, who recently won medals at the indoor world championships.
Yuliya Levchenko kicked off the competition by clearing 1.83 m on her first attempt but failed at 1.88 m.
She decided to skip to 1.91 m but couldn't clear it and finished in 11th place.
Mahuchikh confidently cleared 1.91 m. However, she faced difficulties at 1.94 m but successfully cleared 1.97 m on her last attempt. Both Australian rivals also cleared this height.
Only Mahuchikh and the Australians reached the 2-meter mark. Patterson and Mahuchikh were unable to clear it, while Olyslaegers succeeded on her second attempt.
Therefore, Olyslaegers took first place, Mahuchikh again finished second, and Patterson was third.
