Judo Tournament in Brno: Ukraine Takes the Lead
On October 4-5, the traditional judo tournament - the European Cup of Hopes took place in the Czech city of Brno, featuring competitors under the age of 13 and 15.
The Ukrainian national team achieved first place overall, securing 26 medals, including 6 of the highest rank.
Among the successful athletes from Ukraine, two from Odesa stood out. Ivan Arsenyuk (coach - Vladislav Bolichevsky) won a silver medal in the 38 kg category. Meanwhile, Oleksandr Severhin (coach - Oleg Spivak) earned a bronze medal in the 73 kg weight class.
In Odesa's specialized educational institutions, 144 students are engaged in judo.
